Private 1-to-1 Pilates Class

These are individually taught classes where the teacher works with only one client. An experienced teacher will begin with a postural assessment who will then point out any imbalances and asymmetries. Over the next few sessions, your teacher will show you the basics of the method and develop an individual program tailored to your physique. […]

I recently completed a private reformer Pilates class for three people under Coach Ertika. As a first-timer to reformer Pilates, it was a new and pleasant experience. I found the reformer much easier to use for engaging muscles effectively and learning the correct techniques compared to other methods eg mat pilates, and it’s definitely less monotonous. Ertika was patient and attentive, guiding us through the exercises and ensuring we understood the movements. The small group setting made it comfortable to learn and focus on form. That said, coordinating suitable timings among the three of us was a challenge, so we’re planning to switch to group classes for a more flexible schedule and affordable pricing. But overall, the private group class was a great introduction to reformer Pilates, and I’m looking forward to continuing with it in a different format!

I have been attending a mixture of group and private Pilates classes at Pilates Works Plus for over a year. I thoroughly enjoy the reformer workouts at the cosy studio, and appreciate the precise cues by teacher Keren to help me engage my core muscles for each exercise.

With regular pilates practise, I have grown stronger, more flexible, and developed good habits to improve my posture in the process. It is a privilege to be able to carry out my daily activities without pain as I age.

The pilates core principles for movement are also applicable in strength training work, so I am better able to take care of myself and lift heavy weights at the gym without injury.

My teacher is able to motivate and inspire me to keep working on improving my form for each Pilates exercise, and I am blessed by her coaching. =)

After exploring various gyms and studios, I finally found my home at Pilates Works+. For years, I struggled with lower back pain, tight neck and shoulders, and frequent headaches. I also believed that post-workout pain was just part of the process.

Then, I discovered Keren. As the owner of Pilates Works+, Keren is deeply committed to the authentic teachings of Joseph Pilates. Her extensive knowledge and talent for simplifying complex movements have transformed my understanding of my body. Under her guidance, I not only leave workouts feeling rejuvenated but also carry those lessons into everyday life. For example, I’ve become much more mindful of my posture in everything I do—whether walking, sitting, or sleeping—allowing me to move through life without unnecessary pain.

Whether or not you have tried reformer Pilates elsewhere, I strongly recommend giving Pilates Works+ a try, especially Keren’s private sessions.

I started one-on-one sessions with Keren since 2018, after completing physio therapy for a serious back pain. Her personalised approach to each session helps to relieve my aches and pains through building strength in my core and improving my balance. Keren goes for regular overseas training herself so her sessions are never routine, there is always something new. She has helped me appreciate the transformative power of Pilates and I would highly recommend Keren & Pilates Works for those who want to experience the amazing benefits of Pilates!

At 67 years old, your neck, joints and back hurts. You lose balance, you choke when swallowing your food. Physically, your quality of life starts to deteriorate. When you meet old friends, the only topic we talk about is health related.

Twelve months ago, I was fortunate to be introduced by my friend to Keren Ong, a Pilates Instructor. I explained my health issues and she structured a Pilates Training Program for me. It was hard work and after three months, I started to feel a great improvement in my mobilty. I did not realise that our body have so many different types of muscles which through our life time, have been neglected.

My quality of life has improved. Aging is inevitable but through Pilates, one can prolong your quality of life. Try it, you got nothing to lose.
