Our Team

Keren Ong

Founder, Senior Instructor

Entering her 9th year in teaching Pilates, Keren is an extremely seasoned instructor who was trained under the late Pilates Master Teacher Alvin Giam (1955-2015). Keren is a certified instructor with the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA). She has plenty of experience in rehabilitation Pilates and has helped a wide variety of clients, many of whom can attest to the change that Pilates has made to their bodies.

Keren has suffered from chronic back pain for many years which eventually led to a disc bulge and pinched sciatica nerve. The debilitating pain prompted her to look for relief in various disciplines like acupuncture, osteopathy, and chiropractic treatment, but it was only through Pilates that she found permanence in her pain relief and developed strength and flexibility in my body that she never had.

Keren believes in helping others enjoy a better quality of life through Pilates. When she’s not at work, Keren enjoys taking walks in nature to relax.

Our Team

Alan Lee

Instructor

Seeing the difference in the activity level of Japanese elderly and that of our locals opened Alan’s eyes to graceful and active aging. This inspired him to partake in Pilates, and his life has since changed. Suffering from a bad back injury in his university days, it was through Pilates that Alan was able to overcome this issue. He has been teaching Pilates for the past 3 years and is a certified instructor by Core Dynamics.

Alan enjoys coming to class to help clients overcome their challenges of pain and live a happier, healthier life. He believes that the unique challenges between each person are what makes “problem-solving” enjoyable. During his classes, clients can look forward to a variety of functional exercises that allow them to perform daily activities more easily and without causing injury.

Alan is no stranger to the world of fitness. Aside from being a Pilates instructor, he is also a certified Personal Trainer and a former physical educator with a background in sports science.

While he takes good care of all his clients, it’s his belief that it is paramount to care for himself too. As such, when he’s not in the studio, he finds time for his own training, be it Pilates, triathlon, or other forms of training.

Our Team

Anna Raja

Instructor

Anna first discovered mat Pilates when she was living in London in the ’90s, some 30 years ago and it helped her increase her awareness about her posture and general alignment. Around 3 years ago, she suffered from a slipped disc and tried out Reformer Pilates. The experience changed her life, and she was able to progress to do exercises that she never thought possible. This inspired her to leave her 30 year career in corporate communications and branding to become a Pilates teacher and she hasn’t looked back since! Now a Core Dynamics certified Pilates instructor, Anna is able to help others the way she’s been helped. Clients can look forward to grasping a deeper understanding of their own movements, and increased awareness of their bodies during Anna’s classes.

Anna also enjoys deep water running, which she finds to be a great complement to her Pilates and is an excellent workout in general. She has two rescue cats, Bodhi and Saffron, that bring her great joy.

Our Team

Eva Hong

Instructor

Eva has been practicing Pilates for the past 9 years. Initially starting out to correct her scoliosis, she’s seen a huge improvement in her condition, her strength, and her flexibility. She’s since developed a fondness for the practice. Eva believes that Pilates can help others the way that she’s been helped, and decided to become an instructor 2 years ago, to bring relief to those with conditions. Aside from being a trained comprehensive Pilates instructor by Core Dynamics, Eva is also a certified prenatal and postnatal Pilates specialist by the Centre for Women’s Fitness. Clients can expect a challenging but motivating class with excellent cues and continuous posture correction.

Outside the studio, Eva is an Administrative Manager. A self-proclaimed food lover, she lives by the Julia Child quote “People who love to eat are always the best people”, and she loves enjoying a warm, home-cooked meal by her husband after class. To unwind, she can often be found sipping a cup of chamomile tea while reading a good book.

Our Team

Lynette Chen

Instructor

Lynette is a firm believer in the benefits of Pilates in improving mobility, flexibility, and strengthening of the core. She has been practicing Pilates for the past 10 years and started teaching 2 years ago. However, the journey was not always smooth sailing for Lynette – she had a fall 6 years back and suffered from a lower back muscle spasm. It was Pilates that helped with her recovery in a short time, a testament to the benefits of Pilates. It is no wonder that the short spine stretch is her favourite exercise! Certified to teach a comprehensive Pilates program by Core Dynamics, Lynette is also trained in prenatal, postnatal, and diastasis recti recovery by the Centre for Women’s Fitness. During her classes, she would like her clients to feel rejuvenated and achieve awareness of the mind-body connection through Pilates movements.

During her free time, Lynette loves to listen to ballads and classical music to unwind. She also has a toy poodle that she absolutely adores, and she likes to take it for strolls or short runs when she can.
